Arjun Neervannan (Captain)
Arjun, a junior at University High School was one of the founding members of the team in our 2012 FLL Season and the FRC non-profit robotics team. His contributions in build, design and team management over the years have promoted him to the role of team captain and is heavily involved in the robot design, procurements, game strategy, outreach and team management. He is interested in deep reinforcement learning, AI ethics, enjoys running and is a performing Indian classical violinist.
David Kurniawan (Build/Design Team Lead)
David is a senior at University High School. He has been on the team for 3 years now, and through his steady contributions in the design and build of the robot has been promoted to lead Build and Design. Additionally he was in charge of coordinating the team’s Engineering Notebook where we journal our work. His hobbies include listening to and performing classical music.
Albert Lin (Vice Captain)
Albert is a senior at University High School. He joined Charging Champions in 2016 for the team’s first experience in competing in FRC and due to his contributions to the mechanical designing and programming was promoted to the Vice-Captain role. He leads the team primarily on vision programming and key component designs. He represented University High School in the Chemistry Olympiad exam hosted by ACS, and is in the USACO silver division.
Aaron is senior at University High School. He joined the team in 2017 and leads our CAD modeling, CAD team training effort and contributes to the build effort. He is enrolled in a Principles of Engineering class at Uni, where he builds small scale robots. He loves listening to Classical music
Jingwen is a junior at University High School. She joined the team for the 2017-2018 season and primarily leads building of sub-components of our robot and develops CAD model. In addition she organizes our team workshop and helps the team keep some sanity. She participates in the University High School Orchestra program, and is an active volunteer with OC Coder from Math for Service.
Yiming is a junior at University High School. He joined the team for the 2016-17 FRC season, he has worked on build, community outreach and fundraising. Currently he leads the chassis build out and helps train new members learn to build to high quality. Enjoys playing video games, socializing with my friends, and inciting laughter in others and scripted the team logo and TShirt design.
Adrin, a senior at University High School joined our team in 2018. He is a key contributor to the many parts of the robot but primarily focuses on the electrical and programming subcomponents of the robot and lead the circuit boards for the robot. As a new member rapidly grew to taking key responsibilities and became a vital part of the team
Euan, a junior at University High School joined the team for the 2017-18 FRC season. He comes up with our team's scouting strategy during competitions and works on the build team providing key contributions in all areas as needed to efficiently complete tasks. This year he played the lead role in building the field elements and coached freshers to build difficult field elements in record time and will continue to lead the game analytics team. He enjoys playing video games.
Thomas is a sophomore at University High School. One can safely assume that Thomas will get the job done no matter the hurdles that come in his way. Thomas dedicates a significant amount of his time for this team and has quickly become the go to member through his hard work and passion for what he does. Apart from robotics thomas spends his time running for his school's track team, and maintaining his position and as chairman of his community’s drone racing club.
Jaimin is a junior at University High School. He joined the team for the 2017-2018 season, and leads the fundraising and the community outreach team; making marketing material and pitching to local businesses, as well as coordinating with local schools and businesses to bring STEM to the community. He enjoys playing jazz and rock music in his band.
Jack, a junior at University High School joined the Charging Champions in the 2018-2019 FRC season. Jack is a meticulous and passionate programmer that works closely with the programming leads to improve the accuracy of our autonomous portions. In addition, With his grade information app that has been ranked number one on the app store, he has made a difference to many.
Jamie, a junior at Woodbridge High School joined the team for the FRC 2017-18 season. She actively works with the build team to construct field elements, circuit boards and contributes where needed. She enjoys spending time with friends. .
Parva, a sophomore at Northwood High School joined the team during the 2017-18 season. He is a key part of the build chassis team and performs a variety of tasks including managing our supply-chain/procurements, and working with the build team to finish the tasks in a timely manner. He plays water polo for Northwood.
Krish, a sophomore at Northwood High School joined the team during the 2017-18 season and has been an active member of the build team; working on the robot and other field elements. He plays tennis for Northwood’s team am a part of their Choir program
Rohan is a freshman at University High School. He is a member of the CAD and Build team, and helps with key field elements and contributes in various aspects to the team to get it done on a time crunch. He is part of a professional jazz band.
Alicia, a freshman at University High School is a member on the CAD team. She contributes in various aspects to the team whether it be executing tasks for build or CAD on a time crunch. Alicia as a dancer has also participated at her school’s dance showcase.
Max is a freshman at University High School, joined the team for 2018-19 season. He contributes in various tasks towards robot build.
Selina is a freshman at University High School. She is part of the CAD team. Selina is a master athlete, a varsity golfer and is also interested in 3D animation
Sriyan is a freshman at Portola High School. This is his first year on the team and enjoys STEM activities. He is part of the Outreach and Fundraising team here at Charging Champions and assists in building the field elements. He made a key contribution by editing the chairman video and assists the team wherever needed. Sriyan plays basketball on a competitive level, and edits professionally.
Radin is a freshman at University High School, joined the team in 2019. He is a capable new member that contributes to various robot build and design tasks.
